Can’t believe it – just before I turn over to another station …

They are discussing the morality of getting your money back on MJ concert tickets – blimey Radio 2 Jeremy Vine show has got desperate!

I would want my money back plus something for inconvenience, whiplash, shock and the constant bed wetting…… 😉

This is the reason I don’t listen to phone-in radio shows, tha banality of the subjects discussed and the condescending Mr.Vine.

Where’s the moral question? If I were to die tomorrow could my Practice rightly claim to be paid in full for my outstanding instructions? No. People really do lose IQ points when it comes to famous people.

i used to love listening to Vine whilst at work. some of the idiots he’d have on was almost ludricous.

luckily we had one of those rufty-tufty DeWalt radios. not a day went by that it didn’t get verbally abused, kicked or shot at with a nail-gun because of the rubbish it spouted.

    good days.

yeah, i’d want my money back. sod it. he’s insured. or was.

If 20,000 people want their money back for an Oasis gig that they actually got to go too, and saw Oasis play at, how many people do you think will not try and get a refund for a concert that’s not going to happen? Everyone would be my guess

Those that bought on eBay may have a more lively time getting a refund

I understand that the promoter was not insured.

Given Jackson’s unreliability [even before he went all dead :-)] that borders on lunacy

    FYI !

AEG Live, who persuaded Jackson to sign up for the shows, is currently facing a liability of up to £300 million and an empty venue for the next nine months.[48] The O2 arena has issued a statement indicating, “Full ticket refund information and procedures will be released early next week for all Michael Jackson “This Is It” shows.”[49] Ticketmaster, which also sold Jackson tickets, has a policy of refunding the face value of the ticket, plus the booking fee. Fans who bought their tickets from private sellers may face difficulties. eBay has recommended that purchasers contact their sellers for refunds and stated that those who used PayPal can get their money back if the purchase was made during the last 45 days.[50] eBay later stated that “all buyers on the site will receive a full refund for their ticket purchase”

Given Jacko’s unreliability can you imagine what the premiums would have been!

I can’t even see why there is a discussion – he’s dead, no gig, get refund…

If I buy tickets for a gig, and for whatever reason it fails to take place I expect a refund as the contract I entered into with the venue/promoter has not been fulfilled. Why should this situation be any different just ‘cos Jacko’s fallen off his perch?

I’d be saving my ticket (if I was mad enough to buy one), with the intention of selling it to the MJ lunatics for crazy money in a few years time…’Yeah mate your buying your own little bit of history there’!!

But I’m told that the age of capitalist speculation is coming to an end, so maybe not! 😉
