Roll down to the towing capacity ‘statement’ and the picture of the boat and trailer above it…

I’m guessing that there is something that isn’t shown on the mobile version…
    Care to enlighten us?

Scrolled down and you are correct there is a statement and a picture of a car towing a boat.

Am I right in thinking you think the boat weighs more than the towing capacity

It could be just the shell of a boat.?

Or trailer not actually shown hitched?

To be fair to OP, I’d expect that boat & trailer combo shown to be 2T+

It could have the QE2 behind it and still be correct .It states its capacity to tow if you choose to break the law and tow more that`s your choice

They also give the impression that it’s stylish and gives a driving experience that is only found in vehicles with a much higher price tag.
    I feel cheated.

I reckon the trailer on its own probably exceeds it.

Shit suv can’t tow a thing shocker
Maybe I’m missing somthing in the link but the weights are quoted for what good they are

Well that is a tiny SUV and only costs £12k or something so not going to get 2200kg like a Discovery Sport or Tiguan. 1500kg is a lot better than your typical hatchback that can only manage 1200kg or so as that couple of hundred kg more makes a lot of difference.

As for the boat, it’s probably about 1500kg and the trailer 400-500kg as it’s a twin axle so yes, a bit misleading, but I’m not sure it’s crime of the century as far as creative advertising goes. I’m not even sure that trailer is hooked up as it looks like it would need a very long hitch.

I’m sure the trailer isn’t hooked up. If it was they really would be on dodgy (rather than just slightly unstable) ground.

actually, I think the tow ball has ripped off the car and the nose of the trailer hit the floor.
