I've got an Android 13 Pixel 6a and I've set up Microsoft Authenticator for some extra security. It's correctly configured with my Microsoft account and set up as the Autofill provider in the Authenticator settings and Android settings (in place of Google).
I can't get it to work with Google Chrome nor does it offer to save passwords that are entered for Apps. If I download and use Microsoft Edge I do get the option to save passwords (and they become available in Edge for Windows) but I still can't get Authenticator to save passwords for Android App; I assume that it should do this.
Am I doing (or assuming) something wrong?
I’ve used the ms Authenticator for windows sign in, as a second step, no idea it did more than that

I had no idea that was a thing. I have the MS Authenticator on Android 13, only used as 2FA for Windows.
Well, there you go. Just had a look and it does, indeed, hava a Password Safe option.
I saw that the other day and never really gave it much thought. Hmm, if it works with Firefox then I'm in. Hell, I'd even go to Edge if it came to it.
I think autofil in apps may have been borked somehow. I use keepass2android and it used to work on my 6a but after an update seems to have stopped. Still works in chrome but not apps.
The default Android 13 Autofill/password manager is working with Apps for me, so I'll try that for now
