    New car has roof rails – are roof bars for rails universal or car specific?

    Set I have fit an Audi A6 and an Alfa 159. Thule make my ones. Good and easy to fit too.

    http://www.skidrive.co.uk/index.php has a selection thing for each car which will tell you what you need

    +1 for Thule. I’ve had 3 bkes up to 90mph on the roof of my car without any stability issues. It does muller your fuel consumption tho’

    Did you not have any for the mondeo rob? If so they might well fit. Thule ones are common and you just buy the right foot pack to fit your car.

    no – had a tow bar and tow bar rack – think that is the best option int long run.
