Mrs Wally has insisted I ask something that might be actually useful on STW.

Yes. (Have you done a search on the forum? Think it’s been done).

No, but googling and seeing pics means I could be persuaded…

We were there on a walking holiday 2 years back (Tivat-Kotor-Citinja-Budva). Beautiful area, great walking to the east into the national parks.

Anything in particular you want to know?

Anything that would be useful. I like snorkelling, cycling and walking.
    What’s the local food like?

Food: my main memory was lots of speciality hams. And cheese. Most hot food seem to be grilled / bbq’d. Good beer.

Wally: sorry for the possibly curt answers above: it was a busy weekend. Anything else / I can pick the missus’ brain on?

North Montenegro was some seriously beautiful riding if you fancy a few days away from the coast

cheese and ham (prosciutto style) comes from Njegus, which is just up the windy road from Kotor.

marmaduke: got any route maps or links by any chance? might be going back next year!

food is simple, well made, unfussy, maybe a bit heavy.

Kotor was amazing, a bit touristy though.
