You’d get far more for your money buying a caravan and a cheap towing vehicle.

Again this. My admittedly limited experience of camper vans/mobile homes is that someone usually forgets to pack milk or booze or sausages or dish soap and then you have to pack things back up to go to the supermarket. That isn’t an issue with a caravan.

Thanks everyone for the replies, really helpful. I really was just wondering what if, the responses on here have helped me decide, definitely a caravan. It’s a legitimate business expense so goes through my books which softens the cost, plus I may be able to use a hilux for towing to / from jobs so no need to get a vehicle.

now to decide how much to spend! My last one cost £400… it was ropey, but water tight (ish). 2k feels about right, but seen some really nice ones for 4K (I’ll keep it  after season is done)
