Alternatives to Wolftooth for fitting Shimano shifter to SRAM brakes

I’m wanting to change from SRAM mech and shifter to a Shimano system but keep the SRAM brakes I have. Are there any (cheaper) alternatives to the Wolftooth ShiftMount for doing this? I assumed there would be loads of 3D printed products on eBay but it looks like I was wrong as all I can find are alloy ones from China.

Problem Solvers do their MisMatch Adapters which are around the same price – but you might find one a bit cheaper or on eBay etc.

I’m not sure 3D printed plastic would be up to the job in any case..

I took a file to a shimano shifter to make it fit a sram mount. Don’t do that. It ended up at a thumb-dislocating angle.

But these seem to be for SRAM shifters to Shimano brakes. Like i said, there are loads of those, but I can’t find any for Shimano shifter to SRAM brakes. Unless I’m missing something and those ones are universal but none of the images show a SRAM brake.

+1 for Problem Solvers. Quality products. SRAM is the easy part, Shimano’s various specs for shifters is the problem it solves.

You might not find the one you need on eBay though.

I ordered this style Chinese knock off from eBay linky was £12ish when I ordered, arrvied quickly and workd fine, used the bike for several months and hasn’t failed yet!

Its annoying they dont do a LHD version only the RHD version, have used the RHD for my dropper and its moved it closer to the grip then I’d like. If anyone sees a cheap version for LHD please reply and link!

Considering the price of Wolftooth adapters you might as well just get a new bar clamp shifter, annoyingly there’s plenty on eBay for a tenner but the other way around, SRAM shifter to I spec EV lever.☹️

TBH, I prefer to use separate mounts for stuff anyway. I know that combined mounts tidy up the look of your bars, but (and I admit I might just have weird hands here) I much prefer to set the angles and distance of stuff individually, and be able rotate them all independently. Yeah, it’s not as neat, but at the same time, it’s not world-ending ugly neither.
