Just spent a few hours this evening sorting out all my digital photos in lightroom (putting them into named collections, deleting dud ones etc) but now want to consolidate my library, so they all appear in my pictures or somewhere, in the nicely sorted categories. Any ideas how to do this as I’m abit stuck on what/where to click!

    Thanks!

    You’re welcome.
(I’m still teaching myself how to use it … I bow to any more knowledgable source, bearing in mind that File-Export creates duplicates and you may not be after that)

Hmm, that doesn’t quite do what i want. The export feature seems to discard all folder information and i’ll just end up with 3000 odd photos in one folder. What i wanted was a “itunes” style consolidate feature, where it organises the pictures into the folders that I have created in lightroom, and then dispalys them accordinyl in the my pictures folder. Any ideas?

I’m guessing too now (in between episodes of The Sopranos).
    What about File/Export as Catalogue?
