Proved to be a bit Icy, to put it mildly. The excellent singletrack from the top, from Walner Scar Quarries down to the road at Stephensons ground was covered in Ice.

It was a hard ride for some reason, probably the Chrimbo Pud and daily intake of wine/beer/Whiskey taking it’s toll from over Christmas. That’s my excuse anyway.

the view from the quarries on Walner scar was fantastic though.

    Oh to be Fifteen again!

I’ve just gone tubeless after being a bit warey of it for the last year and ended up splitting a bloody tyre on the way into Seathwaite. Which messed up the last descent.

I’m running standard Maxis High rollers, worth trying Purpose UST rubber (Thicker sidewalls) or is it just luck with regards to sidewall cutting?
