Pah! Kermode. Bring back Barry Norman. Only his opinion really counts.

(okay he’d need some resurrecting now)

Though he sort of has a point. Or Jaws was just a bloody good piece of cinema. Ground-breaking? In being a first(?) summer blockbuster maybe, but it’s just a blockbuster Hitchcock really.

Association with TdF, meh. It’s an event/festival/show and bit of a race, involving bikes. F1 is similar. The 60s film Grand Prix could be said to be not about the cars & racing, but about the event, the show and the travel.

But big deal. Jaws is Jaws. The shark is the bad guy. Though sure it’s not about the shark, otherwise it would be called Bruce (the nickname of the shark) :D

    WTaF are you rambling about?

Pee-wee’s Big Adventure was released in 1985 and is as good a film containing a bicycle as you’re ever going to get, so unless we’re discussing that I’m going back to bed to sleep the drunk off.

Jaws is no more about a shark than Rocky is about boxing. Both great films though!

I don’t think PeeWee was ever found to be a peado.

As I understood he was caught knocking one out in the cinema, and hey, we’ve all been there right?

He punched a child? Mind you if they were rustling sweetie bags or left their phone on they probably deserved it.

Only when the kids are just too sexy.

Still upset I pointed out your little car isn’t special?

I’m not sure we’ve ever witnessed such a long lasting portion of butt-hurt. Move on, life is too short. :)

If you must continue your crusade however, at least have the decency to cast your aspersions to me directly, rather than cowardly frame them in a Cathy Newmanesque style question.

For example: “So what you’re saying cynic-al, is that you like to have non-consensual relations with Equus africanus asinus?” is a bit pathetic.

Instead, you should try the more direct “Cynic-al is a donkey rapist“. It has a much more immediate charm. :)
