Has started

I am on the train to Stow.  Apparently if I knock three times on the yellow door I will be given the keys to a yaris

Then I head for Halifax where I have to put the keys through the correct letter box and make a discreet exit

Nice!!

Where's Stow? Stow-on-the-Wolds? That's a long way from Scotlandshire, if it is!

It's like the opening of 'The Transporter', with TJ playing Jason Statham. My money's on there being a kidnap victim tied up in the boot. 🙂

It could be andrewh!

Thankyou to everyone for doing all this.

I have my own mini journey this morning too, riding Lyanda's electric wheelchair about a mile and a half to its new home. Feeling emotional about it, letting something significant of hers go. But i think it's going to the right person, and definitely something she would have wanted.

"Apparently Danny Boyle is doing a film called Yarisspotting…."

I think this one is more Peter Jackson territory tbh. 🙂

Good effort to all involved.

I like the idea of a live tracker and somebody else racing them to the final destination on a brompton/train/coach ala Top Gear 🙂

Mixed emotions from MrsH this morning, very sad to see Little Yaris go after such a long time, got very fond of it, been to all kinds of places with it, but also pleased to know it's going to get a refurb and a new lease of life. And a new name apparently, we've always just called it 'Little Yaris' but Gnusmobile does sound good.

Very handy.   A previous train was delayed just enough for me to catch it at Leeds instead of having to wait an hour for the next one

Even the gods are helping.   No seat mind you but I have a can of cider to swig while sitting in the doorway and shouting at random people

Jeez! Car was only worth about £300! I'm astonished.

Should be loads to get it back into tip-top shape, Yaris bits are cheap, train fares and petrol money for those delivering, tax and insurance. Anything else we need? If there's any spare MrsH (car donor for those who missed that thread and just arrived here) and I have a pot for these guys http://radcliffedonkeysanctuary.co.uk.gridhosted.co.uk/ could we send the surplus there please? Everyone OK with that?

Chew - your turn now!  Is it Saturday you are heading south?  More ginsterfueled action please.

I really enjoyed my drive today in the end.  A gentle cruise down the A roads.  A7, bit of M6, A6 shap, A65 kirbylongsdale, skipton Halifax.

Sorry chaps - not technically literate enough to get live tracking - thats a challenge for Chew - especially as the 12 socket is borked
