Why this bike?

I’d like to upgrade the brakes, maybe to XTR or Hope TR4s. I might even do something crazy like cuting 20mm off the bar width! I love how this bike looks. I love how this bike rides. It’s also my only bike.

  1. Nice bike OP – Iโ€™ve had my comp version years and still love it. Re the rear suspension, the advice I remember from the mtbr forum when I first got mine was your weight in pounds plus 20-30 to get your psi. I must admit I always just sort mine by feel these days but seem to remember the above advice was about right.ย

  2. Iโ€™ve got the comp, great bike.ย I did upgrade the brakes to Hope due to preference tbh. I also fitted narrower bars.ย Shame they donโ€™t make these any more. Iโ€™d go for the stumpie 15 if I needed a replacement

  3. I wrote a long comment on this article on the original page only for it to disappear when I clicked post with a message saying that “comments were closed".
FFS STW if the comments are closed on a page don’t allow people to write something in the first place. No, I can’t be arsed to write it again.
