A sad end to a life he never really got to live. Celebrity from the very earliest age and never really able to be himself. I think he may not even have really known who he was himself.

Michael Jackson 'in LA hospital'
Pop star Michael Jackson has been rushed to hospital in Los Angeles with suspected cardiac arrest.

Pop star Michael Jackson has been rushed to hospital in Los Angeles with suspected cardiac arrest.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the 50-year-old singer was not breathing when paramedics arrived at his home.

The paramedics performed CPR and took him to the UCLA medical centre, the newspaper says. Officials would not confirm if the CPR was successful.

The star was due to begin a series of comeback concerts with an appearance at London's O2 arena on 13 July.

He has a history of health problems and has not completed a concert tour in 12 years.

Michael Jackson's home is off Sunset Boulevard in Bel Air.

I hate to be insensitive BUT... popbitch was saying a couple of weeks ago that he was looking for any excuse not to play those 50 gigs at the O2...

MICHAEL JACKSON has reportedly died after suffering a heart attack.

According to US website TMZ the King Of Pop was loaded into an ambulance just after 2pm, LA time, after paramedics were seen performing CPR on the singer.

He allegedly suffered the cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles.

The 50-year-old singer was due to start the first of 50 dates at the O2 arena in London on July 13.

D'ya think there will be like a national outpouring of grief in the style of Diana or a more muted celebration by the parents of all the children he allegedly touched up ? 😯

What a sad day.

He was amazing pop artist and performer, and also an amazing guitarist. The main riff and solo in Beat It is electric guitar at its best

Michael Jackson 'dies' in hospital after suffering heart attack

spineless Times. Whats with the 'quotes'.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article6579622.ece

mleh. never really liked his music. freakish tendancies. Not top of my list for a babysitter for Stoner Jr. More useful humans keel over every day with little fanfare.

Stoner - a tad harsh? He had a genuine talent, I do remember his early years and he was a star in the making. Unique. Don't know what happened to him in later years but I just find it all very sad.

Sorry ... but there's too many talents that have departed this world.

and that was eddie van halen's fault, nothing to do with MJ...

He was my favourite artist as a youngster, but he hardly equiped himself with glory later. Maybe he was a victim of his upbringing but doesn't excuse the child accusations and baby dangling. LA Times is saying he is dead.

that was eddie van halen. Which is why it was great.

it's win win as far as I'm concerned. Love his music, but think he lost his marbles years back and was a paedo. So there will be loads of his music on the tv and radio, and kids will be safer.

harsh?
perhaps, but only in the sense that he had a lack of moral guidance.
The rest of it falls firmly at his feet.

As for the next few days of tortuous hand-wringing and group-therapy outpourings from the people who seem to think he had some value over and above someone less inclined to be a freak...well, you shall find me in the shed hiding from the media...

CNN said it was cardiac arrest rather than heart attack. Which means they have to get a defibilator to the heart within minutes as they have "gotta be starting something" quickly.

Never proven in a court of law that he was a paedophile. If people started making unproven allegations of that nature about yourself I think that you might get a bit annoyed.

He made some great pop music.
