Thats terrible!
I thought that it was widely known that he had health problems though! Remember the fuss in the papers last time he had a stroke...
CG, let's see about a date then, eh?
Any chance you or any of the other Wiltshire lasses are in Salisbury on Saturday? Am likely to be in the Cloisters watching the rugby. A beer may be in order....!
cinnamon_girl - MemberAn excuse to dig out the vinyl?
Hey you lot - wait til you're middle-aged
Actually could this be another excuse for a bike build?
Aren't you confusing him with Bob Jackson?
Moses - you're too kind 😀

one died
Cap'n - I'm a busy lady - I shall be on my way to the Quantocks 😀 I need more notice cos I'm trying to attend every STW Forum Ride this year 8)
druid - I get very confused 😉
BBC say he is in a Coma.

CFH & CG get a room you sad ****s.
KINGTUT - Auntie C_G's here if you need to talk ...
He's dead been confirmed
Good riddance.
CNN live says coma
What a sad day.
He was amazing pop artist and performer, and also an amazing guitarist. The main riff and solo in Beat It is electric guitar at its best

Be prepared for a Lady Di/Jade Goody outpouring of grief :candleinthewindsmiley:
Despite being a plastic faced kiddy fiddler, Off the Wall is one of my favourite albums of all time
Michael Jackson 'dies' in hospital after suffering heart attack
spineless Times. Whats with the 'quotes'.

mleh. never really liked his music. freakish tendancies. Not top of my list for a babysitter for Stoner Jr. More useful humans keel over every day with little fanfare.

All kinds of people like Off the Wall 😉
Who? I'm actually quite sad about Sky Saxon dying and Mr Bigshot PotatoHead has to make a huge Schrödinger's cat style fuss
KINGTUT -Auntie C_G's here if you need to talk ...
Oh don't get me wrong I couldn't give a toss about Michael Jackson, however you and CFH are making me cringe, though to be fair CFH has that effect on me most of the time.
Ho Ho Ho @ sc-xc 😀
Stoner - a tad harsh? He had a genuine talent, I do remember his early years and he was a star in the making. Unique. Don't know what happened to him in later years but I just find it all very sad.
Sorry ... but there's too many talents that have departed this world.
The main riff and solo in Beat It is electric guitar at its best
yep.
and that was eddie van halen's fault, nothing to do with MJ...
He was my favourite artist as a youngster, but he hardly equiped himself with glory later. Maybe he was a victim of his upbringing but doesn't excuse the child accusations and baby dangling. LA Times is saying he is dead.

that was eddie van halen. Which is why it was great.
it's win win as far as I'm concerned. Love his music, but think he lost his marbles years back and was a paedo. So there will be loads of his music on the tv and radio, and kids will be safer.
KINGTUT - past your bedtime mate.
Anyone else remember the very first showing of the Thriller video? December 1983!!!
harsh?
perhaps, but only in the sense that he had a lack of moral guidance.
The rest of it falls firmly at his feet.
As for the next few days of tortuous hand-wringing and group-therapy outpourings from the people who seem to think he had some value over and above someone less inclined to be a freak...well, you shall find me in the shed hiding from the media...
CNN said it was cardiac arrest rather than heart attack. Which means they have to get a defibilator to the heart within minutes as they have "gotta be starting something" quickly.
Anyone else remember the very first showing of the Thriller video? December 1983!!!
Yep, me!!!!!!!!!!!
I was only 18!!! 8)
Stoner - many people suffer from a lack of moral guidance. Is it not possibly a 20th/21st century affliction?
Do u reckon there will be this level of news coverage and emotion when Gary Glitter pops it?
Never proven in a court of law that he was a paedophile. If people started making unproven allegations of that nature about yourself I think that you might get a bit annoyed.
He made some great pop music.
Such a shame. He was a bit weird but I find everyone throwing the peado accusations around are a bit distasteful. Whether you think it or not (and you have no way of knowing as you have not been privvy to real evidence, but you could be right) it was never proven and spouting it as he dies really isnt too nice for his family. Music was amazing, but recently has gone a bit odd.

Yes I recall it was Midnight on a Friday night
Doctors have announced that Jacko's Heart Attack was NOT believed to have been caused by an excessive combination of Sunshine, Moonlight and Good Times!
I feel quite sorry for Uri Geller his best mate. Seems that Sky phoned him up and he didn't know. He could barely speak on the phone.
Is this the wrong time to admit that I really quite like "Earth Song"?
I am expecting my email to be full of Jackson jokes in the morning!
cinnamon_girl - MemberKINGTUT - past your bedtime mate.
I'm not your mate.
its sad for his kids,
or is it? will stories of abuse come out now?
this is too bad taste for even me to post
Yeah OJ Simspon was found innocent too. Not that he paid of anyone for other offences either.
I'll look back in years to come and people will say can you remember what you were doing when jacko died, and i'll say yes, i was being a nerd on singletrack forum, much the same as i remember eating a marmite sandwich when i found out elvis was dead.
