My old boy Jake sadly went downhill within a few days. Oscar was meant to a friend fir Jake in his retirement. Oscar can’t replace him but he will fill an empty house. We will have many adventures together.

He looks like Trouble!

I have no doubt. He looked out the car window all the way home while cuddling into me.

Sorry to hear about Jake; remember the photos you've posted of him in the past.

I'm a cat man myself, but I have to admit Oscar looks awesome 🙂

Cheers Bear. He’s been a big miss the kids were heartbroken too.

They had no idea about Oscar the tears of joy when I walked in with him was worth it. He’s already settling in cuddling the kids, myself, playing learning his new home and already picking up on his name.

He’s fast asleep now hopefully through the night.

Thanks for the kind comments about Jake. He certainly was my pal we were rarely not together. Oscar is rather cute, he’s slept all night and had a wee in the garden as soon as I got him up.

Nice one Drac,I'm sure Oscar will have more than a few traits that will remind you (in good ways) of Jake.

Trying to work out what breed. Border?

(not that he needs to be a be a particular breed to feel validated. Being a GOOD BOY is more than enough)

Cheers. We are so happy with him, he’s settled incredibly well as was from a big litter of 9.

I'm sure you're aware, but I'll remind you of the old adage anyway; "A good puppy is a tired Puppy."

I'm only saying that as we keep having to remind ourselves with Dugg. Dugg has just hit 8 months, and is so much work compared to our old boy that we lost a year ago. Totally worth it mind.

Cracking dogs BT’s. Long lived and very hardy. We are on our third - Sonic says hi! He’s the most laid back terrier you could ever meet. Our Patterdale on the other hand….

Fixed it for you.

And also don't forget a tired puppy doesnt have to be tired from going on 15 mile walks, exercise that brain! Mega cute puppy, we have one due home June 19th after just over a years break from the loss of Ziva, not a border though, keep those puppy photos coming! I'd be working on that recall having tried to catch a border terrier which got loose on a hill in Wales.

a tired puppy doesn't have to be tired from going on 15 mile walks, exercise that brain!

There's an obnoxiously smelly Dalmatian on the sofa here who demonstrates that well. The (nominal) SIL brought his kids around to play this afternoon. 2 hours of noise and childish excitement left Bodie slightly stressed and tired, so much so that he stopped playing ball on the afternoon walk. Ball is life normally but he put it down and trotted home.

Sorry to hear about Jake. 🙁 He was a handsome fellow. Picked Molly up from the vet on Friday after having a few teeth out and a growth removed - fingers crossed it’s benign - but she’s getting extra cuddles over the weekend. Can’t believe she’s nearly 12, so that’s about 24 in BT years. 😀 Hopefully Oscar will help the family move on from Jake. By crikey, they leave such a big hole when they go.

He’s growing so fast this is Saturday Morning to yesterday morning.

Has a full on personality developing, practically toilet trained, knows his name and recall working well. Getting there with sit.

Oscar is now 6 months. He’s doing really well, recall is good but occasionally distracted if he meets another dog. Has all the basic commands pretty much sorted and is getting there with the show training, I need to do more of that though.

He gets a lot of attention when out and about, can’t think why.
