I don't have a hose at my new house and so I need an alternative. I live in an upstairs flat and have a private yard where I can wash the bike and so was looking at these as a neat way of doing it.

What's out there? I've looked at Brand X and Nomad and the Brand X is winning as it's cheaper. I'll be able to hook up to a car but not a normal plug, so it's wireless of cigarette socket only.

Thanks in advance!

these work surprisingly well and have more power than a garden sprayer, slightly less than the plug in ones

I've been using one of those for the last 3 months and I'm not too impressed by it to be honest- it's a pain having to keep pumping it and watching the power fade.

you do have to master the pump 'n spray action! the plug in ones aren't that great either

I got a Mobi V15 for around £ 55 from Wiggle before Christmas

bit more expensive now but works well and would certainly allow you rinse your bike after washing with a sponge. Could also take it to the trails and wash the worst off before you even get in the car.

I've actually used mine more for cleaning boots and tools after trail building than for washing the bike so far.

30% off Mobi-Washer at Wiggle:

They used to be about £130 which seems a lot but I think when they're reduced they're worth a punt.

I have the same issue as you OP (live in a flat etc) and it's a god-send in the winter.

Edit- beaten to it

I've had Mobi and Dirt Worker and the DW is far superior. Works better and is still going strong and is now older than the Mobi was when it packed up.
