Securing levers to my new Redshift drop bars

Howdy,

I installed a new set of Redshift drop bars on my gravel bike over the weekend. They look great, but I’ve run into a bit of an issue—no matter how much torque I apply to the clamp on my SRAM Apex levers, I can’t seem to get them to stay firmly in place on the bars.
Interestingly, with my previous Specialized drop bars, I only needed around 4Nm of torque and the levers were rock solid—barely budged at all.

I understand you don’t want to overtighten the clamps in case the bike takes a tumble, but with these new bars, the levers just seem way too easy to move.

Is there something I might be missing? Any tips or tricks to help eliminate this unwanted movement?

it sounds like the bar is just a little bit thinner where you are mounting them, so the clamp can't close enough to grip. Maybe a layer of tape underneath

As above. Have you tried making a shim (like with bike lights) or some tape?

I’m using SRAM Force etap axs levers with the redshift 10 degree flared bars and they mount very well.
