Need to send Rebas off to get seviced and new 120mm 29er air spring fitted at same time.
Recommendations please?
Got TFT on list to contact for a start but I know there's other people on here use as well as them.
Cheers
Silk suspension in Rotherham did a great job with my fork and shock.
Tell people where you are, they might be able to suggest someone local.
Just a lower service / air shaft change? A good local LBS can do that for you.
Full service? TFT or J Tech have been awesome for me in the past.
Usually I decide based on who has availability.
Have you got other forks/bikes or are you going to be waiting?
I honestly wouldn't bother for a lowers and airshaft change unless its local or the P&P will be the largest part of the cost not to mention your time lost.
I'll get a full sevice on them if I send them away and I have another bike to use so waiting not a problem.
If I can find someone that sells a 11.4018.021.00 air spring then I might be tempted to have a go at fitting the air sring myself.
TFT have always been great for me and if you are working from home their pick up service is easy.

You only need some circlip pliers... once you have the lowers off you remove circlip... pull out old airshaft and grease and stick in new one then replace circlip.
I might have an airshaft ... is this the same one as the 27.5 140mm?? If you download the service manual you can check (I have 130/140 and 150 32mm for SID/REBA/old revs) and only the 130 is in use.. so you can have it for post cost.
stevextc, very kind of you. I got that part number from the service manual
It's for some 29er Rebas that have 80/100/120 markings. Are the part numbers marked on the air spring shaft?
Cheers
Ive used TFT a few times and would recommend them. As above the air spring is an easy swap but if your getting the forks serviced by someone it may not be much extra for them to change the air spring too.
Ok going to have a go at fitting the airspring myself.
So I have some sram butter but need oil for the lowers and foam rings.
Think the lowers is 0/30 rockshox but what about for the foam rings?
Ta.
either fit new seals and foam ring whilst apart (SKF for me) or buy a bag of foam ring off eBay/amazon it will encourage you to do a lower leg service more often knowing you have foam rings
I'll check numbers later, they are all from some old Rev's but according to the manual they also work in SID's etc.
As per bruneep ... I buy foam rings by the bag (and the same with crush washers).
When you do it really makes a lowers clean less offputting. If you don't change the dust wiper seals then refitting a cleaned foam ring is fiddly. Not impossible but they cost pence by the bag....
Technically you can do this without removing the forks but I'd highly recommend taking them off especially the removing the circlip is a bit of a knack... (it's improved on the new Debonaire airshafts)
👍
Do you need the drift to fit the seals and where for the skf seals?
What oil do you soak the foam rings in?
I'll get a bag of those might as well.
Cheers
