With fuel prices going ballistic, there are no doubt going to be lots more people eyeing up e-cargo bikes for shorter distance duties.
A few months ago we published a story on the Decathlon Cargo Bike and it had high audience engagement (as they say), so we reckon this new bike from Mycle will be of interest too.
As well as the Cargo being one of more competitively priced cargo bikes in the UK at £1,899, Mycle have also given their existing Compact Plus folding e-cargo bike a spruce up.
Both bikes have been launched at this week’s The Cycle Show & London eBike Festival. They both sport increased range, integrated lights and decent Shimano drivetrains.
Mycle Cargo, £1899
A 250w hub motor powers five levels of pedalling assist and is matched with 7 speed Shimano drivetrain.
The cargo features a 15Ah battery, the largest ever used by Mycle. Range is claimed as up to 60km.There will also be the option to install a second battery, doubling the range (duh).
The Cargo has a range of accessories available to help riders customise the bike exactly to their needs.
Add a cargo basket for when you need to carry big loads.
Add seat pads and a caboose to securely carry big kids.?
You can also securely fit child seats to the rear deck.
What else? Aluminium frame. Low standover. Adjustable handlebar for differing rider heights. Integrated front and rear lights. 3.0in “puncture resistant” tyres.
Availability is currently listed as “soon”. The Cargo is designed to enable you to say goodbye to your car for good (or at least not use it quite so much).
Mycle Compact Plus, £1299
The Compact Plus is the updated version of the Mycle Compact. Retaining the space saving folding design and adding a bit of cush.
2.125in tyres are combined with a suspension fork to take a bit of the sting out of things.
New 10.4 Ah battery. The battery is both removable and lockable.
Built in front and rear lights mean.
250w hub motor.
Ride ’em now at the London eBike Festival
Mycle are currently exhibiting at The Cycle Show & London eBike Festival at Alexandra Palace in London from now until Sunday.
