Just dismantled my old 29er which I’d been running as a mullet for a while- the replacement is already pretty slack and low and definitely won’t work as a mullet so this is now spare. Really nice wheel, properly excellent tyre, at a pretty good price.
Wheel is a Mavic XA Carbon Elite, It’s 142×12 (ie not boost) with a SRAM XD freehub, I also have a brand new Shimano traditional freehub that I can swap on. It’s 30mm internal width so will take a pretty big tyre without issues. I don’t have a wheel weight (because it has a tyre and valve on) but the wheelset weight was a claimed 1690g. It was sold as a trailbike wheel.
Also included is a lightly used Rockrazor Supertrail 2.6, for maximum speed and skidz. It’s got a tubeless valve fitted and is currently set up tubeless. I have a Recon 2.6 if you prefer but the Rockrazor is better ;)
The wheel’s in really nice condition with only a few minor marks, as you can see in the closeups.
As I mentioned it’s 142×12, which I reckon is ideal since so many bikes that benefit from mulleting are older and are feelng a bit of age in the geometry. But, if you need an adaptor for boost I can provide one for a fiver.
