The Singletrack MegaSack© Countdown – Here’s What’s Coming This Week

by 1

By now, you hopefully know what’s going on – we make daily videos about products, you watch the video, learn stuff, and then answer a question. Lucky winners then win those daily prizes, and everyone’s name goes into the MegaHat for a chance to sin the MegaSack. Each daily entry gives you another entry into the MegaSack draw, so watch and enter every day to increase your chances of winning. You can even go back and enter the days that you’ve missed!

Here’s a round up of what we’ve already given away:

Day 1 – Magura MT5 Brakes and Rotors

Day 2 – Muc-Off Pressure Washer

Day 3 – Continental Der Kaiser Project Tyres and RevoSeal

Day 4 – Vee Tire Attack HPL Gravity Tyre Bundle

There’s still time to go back and enter those giveaways – you won’t win the daily prizes, but it will boost your chances off winning the MegaSack!

There is still time to enter the Day 5 draw – we don’t make the draw until 3pm the day after the competition is announced, so head over and watch the video now!

Day 5 – Granite Designs Cricket Bell

All caught up? Here’s what’s coming this week…

Monday – Lazer Jackal MIPS Helmet

This helmet is fully adjustable on the inside, so you can vary the height it sits as well as tightening it up. It’s designed for use with goggles, with a rubbery strip at the back of the helmet to keep the strap in place. The helmet is also shaped to leave room for the legs of glasses, should you not be going full enduro. Included in the box is a crash-tested accessory mount so you can attach a light or camera to your helmet. In the event of a crash (hopefully caught on camera?) MIPS helps protect your head from the effects of rotational forces.

Tuesday – Pro Tharsis 3FIVE Carbon Bar & Stem

The CNC machined AL 7050 stem has a 35mm clamping diameter for ultimate strength and control at 150g. Match it with this 800mm carbon bar and shave some weight off your build – or shave off some more weight and cut it down to the size you want using the cutting guides on the ends of the bar, which go as narrow as 720mm. Before you start chopping, this bar weighs 200g. The bar we have here for you has a 20mm rise and 9 degree back sweep, 4 degree up sweep.

Wednesday – Madison Clothing Bundle

  • Price: Flux Jacket £124.99, Flux Trousers £79.99, DTE Shorts £89.99, Flux Capacity Liner £54.99
  • From: Freewheel

With this bundle of clothing you’ll be out in all weathers. The lightweight waterproof Flux jacket is a favourite of Ross’, with an under the helmet hood and breathable fabric. The Flux trousers are a form fitting pair of lightweight trousers with DWR coating – great for channeling your inner racer or just messing about in the woods. The Flux Capacity Liners are bib shorts with a fly opening for emergency wees, and rear pockets so that you can stash your stuff about your person rather than carrying a pack. And finally, the DTE Shorts are waterproof shorts for splashy UK days.

Thursday – Vittoria Universal Tire Sealant x 4 Litres

  • Price: £35.96 (£8.99 per litre)
  • From: Freewheel

This is a universal sealant for all types of bike tyres, and there’s enough here to keep your entire mountain bike fleet rolling for months to come. The liquid consistency of this ammonia-free sealant means it’ll fill even tiny holes, and it’s designed not to turn into big lumpy monsters inside your tyre as it ages. It’ll seal larger holes up to 7mm thanks to the ‘platelets’ in the mixture, and promises to stay fresh and functional for up to 1,200 km or 3 months. To make sure you keep track of when you last topped up your tyres, there’s handy label on the side of the bottle that you can fill in.

Friday – Park Tool THH-1 & THT-1

Very nice tools for tightening all the bolts you’re likely to encounter on a bike. The THH-1 set includes 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10mm hex wrenches, while the THT-1 set includes T6, T8, T10, T15, T20, T25, T30 and T40 Torx. The sliding handles make it easy to adjust and get into those awkward to reach places, and the aluminium ‘Speed Spinner’ makes running long bolts in and out quick and easy.

Saturday – 100% Speedcraft Glasses

As worn by Peter Sagan, these come with a pink high contrast HiPer Coral lens for low light days, and a grey Smoke lens for sunnier ones. The lenses just clip in and out, so it’s easy to swap them. There’s also a choice of nose pieces, so you can make sure the glasses fit around your eyes as closely as possible, keeping all the trail dust – or mud – out of your eyes. Ventilation on the lower part of the frame keeps the air flowing to stop you from steaming up on the climbs and sprints. It’s all packaged up in a high quality case so you can keep your spare lenses safe for when you need them.

Excited? We are! Join us every day to maximise your chances of winning!
