Danny Hart’s World Championship Bike Stolen From Sheffield Hotel

by 2

Are more bikes being stolen right now? It seems that way if you have been following the news of late. It also appears that that being a top flight athlete, staying at a nice hotel doesn’t make you immune from having your bike stolen either. Both Danny Hart and Matt Walker, World Cup racers on the Madison Saracen team, have had bikes stolen this morning – including the bike that Danny Hart raced at this year’s World Championships…

There’s been a lot of bike crime going on recently it seems, and we’ve not been immune to it.

Here’s the post from Danny’s Facebook page

Danny says…

STOLEN!
3 bikes of mine have been stolen from the Kenwood Hall Hotel in Sheffield, we believe at around 5am this morning.

World Champs Saracen Myst
Saracen Aerial
Saracen Traverse

Aswell as Matt Walkers Saracen Zenith Pro

Please share the shit out of this!

Let’s find these scumbags!

More news as we get it, but in the meantime, stay safe out there, you lot…

First in every timed session, the perfect weekend for Danny Hart

We had a few bikes stolen in Nottingham on Friday. Seems there may be a group operating up and down the M1 between Nottingham and Sheffield specialising in high value bikes.

Feel for Danny losing a World Champs bike. Seems unlikely, but hopefully they find the people and recover ours and the Saracen bikes!

How many times do these things happen to vans festooned with mountain bike or (cycling in general) livery ?
Or where people post ‘I’m at xxxxx this eve for a bike awards pissup’ in public such as faceache, instashite, etc.

I’m not excusing the thieving shiiites who do this who need stringing up with an old oily gear cable, but sometimes (many times) the target seems to be well signposted.
