Spanning five days, crossing ten valleys, and dropping 12,000 metres, Chile’s Andes Pacifico Enduro Race certainly looks like an event to remember.  Said by none other than Fabien Barel to have “wonderful scenery, good organisation, and incredible terrain,” the race sounds significantly better than anything else that you have planned between February 9th and 13th, 2016.

Beginning at the Santiago-area ski resort of La Parva, Andes Pacifico ends at the beach of Matanzas.  Limited to 100 riders, the event costs $1,665 (£1,075) including a $65 application fee.

Jerome Clementz cites the race’s difficulty as part of its appeal.  Prospective riders will be required to complete an application “describing their experience, physical and technical level,” so as to improve the odds that everyone in attendance can complete the event safely and enjoyably.

Not a bad way to finish.

Applications open today, 19th October, and will remain open until 30th November.
