Best of both wheels?
An exclusive collaboration between a Colorado bike shop and Pasadena, CA based Foes Racing, the Mixer combines a 27.5 rear wheel with a 29er front. Far from the first or biggest company to take on the mixed-wheel concept, Foes and Timberline Cycles feel strongly that they’re the first to do it right.

As much as Timberline’s riders liked the speed (and personal records) found on long-travel 29ers, they simply didn’t care for the big bikes’ feel. So they approached Foes Racing and the Mixer was born. The 160mm travel frame uses Foes’ modified single pivot suspension system and heavily hydroformed tubing. A 66.5° head angle puts the big wheel out front while short chainstays keep the rear wheel close.
While feel is subjective, one of the shop’s riders has already piloted the model to a Colorado state downhill championship – not a bad start. Is it time for a mismatched wheel comeback?
