Once again we’ve used our mighty internet sieve to go through the lumpy flour of the web and stir all the good bits into the beautiful cake that is Midweek Movies.
Here’s another video from the Superenduro series, this time the fifth round from Sauze d’Oulx, 80km from Turin in Italy. We’ve not really heard of the resort before but it looks amazing…
With the end of the Olympics, you’re probably feeling a bit down and in need of a fix of Patriot-ism – see what we did there eh? Luckily Orange riders Dave Mackison and Scott Marshall headed to the promised mountain bike land of Whistler to put in a showing for Team GB
Gee and Rachel Atherton may live in the heart of North Wales, but it doesn’t stop them from getting lost on the way to ride Coed Y Brenin…
Our friend Gary Lake recently rode the Welsh Coast-to-Coast non-stop, fundraising for the Cots For Tots appeal. In the end it took him 36 hours and was “brilliantly horrendous” thanks to the torrential rain. Here he is testing his lights and kit before his great attempt – which you can read about here.
Tony ‘The Jedi’ Doyle of UK Bike Skills returns with a new video blog, this time with a bit more riding as he heads around a mix of new ladders at Herts shore that lead into the classic Smoke Line…

A spot of BMX now, as the Almond crew take a trip to the SXSW festival in Texas. Some super tech street riding, a bit of getting arrested and it’s really well shot to boot.
Okay, it’s been a while after the Val D’Isere DH world cup, but here’s what went on in the Trek World Racing camp…

After last week’s crank oddity, here’s another bit of strange/innovative technology. It’s a gyroscopic front wheel with three variable settings so your offspring can wean themselves off the artificial gyroscope and learn to ride a bike without needing stabilisers, which can only be a good thing – who doesn’t have trust issues stemming from their parents letting them crash repeatedly after taking them off? Oh, just us then.

Who’s the best stuntman in the world? Mercury Morgan, that’s who. Thanks to Ric and Matt for this…
Thanks to everyone that suggested videos this week – if you’ve got anything you reckon should be up here, then fire it to newsdesk@singletrackworld.com and we’ll take a look…

That Mercury Morgan vid is brilliant. I love the little additions as he becomes more confident, more ‘showbiz’. First the cape, then fireworks (seemingly out of his arse) then the body armour… I would ask him why he settled on 5 elephants when he’s previously cleared 8. Smacks of a lack of ambition…
The Mercury Mogan one is superb. Is that a Cannondale he’s on? The tune from 3mins 40 odd sounds familiar as well.
@YoKaiser: it’s the theme tune from “Back to the Future”…
The intro to the Orange vid was fantastic. Music got me going. But then it just kind of went … ordinary. Ah well.
Massive kudos to him for running a set of 780mm risers back in the 1980s too.
No wonder mercury morgan is so good – he has God on his team..http://www.cyclejumpers.com/johnmorgan.html
Sauze d’Oulx […] We’ve not really heard of the resort before
Despite doing an article on it in issue 39 🙂
My fault – I have a ten issue long memory 😉
Damn damn damn! Why don’t I live nearer the Alps? 😉 Enduro is the best thing to have happened for a long time.
