If you know someone that’s a bit handy on the bike or if backflips come as naturally to you as back hair to middle aged men, then this will be of interest to you. SR Suntour are looking for new talent to join their team and they’re searching for it by getting aspiring riders to submit riding edit to their Facebook page. More details below:
“Supporting up-and-coming young talent has always been an important part of SR SUNTOUR´s sponsoring philosophy. Riders like Marius Hoppensack and Ludwig Jäger were once part of our Duro Rookie Team before they achieved fame and fortune by turning Pro.
We are looking for riders who want to apply for the open Rookie Team slots right beside Max Fredriksson, Anton Thelander and Lukas Knopf. Successful applicants will learn from our seasoned pros, who will show them the ropes: for example what’s important for photo shoots and how to properly deal with sponsors and the media.
The decision will be made based on a video contest featured on the SR SUNTOUR Facebook page where visitors can vote for their favorite athletes.
Getting Sponsors for your sport is one of the biggest obstacles to take for an unknown athlete so we cooperate closely with some companies that are also well known for their engagement into this sport.
We are more than happy to announce, that we could gain beddo for frames, bars and stems, cranksets and handles Spank for wheelsets, Schwalbe for tires and Formula for brakes.
Interested riders can send in their videos to get voted onto the team by the international SR SUNTOUR Fan Community! And of course, even the jury “members” can win if they too apply.
As well, Duro Rookie Team Ambassadors Marius Hoppensack and Ludwig Jäger will select exceptional entries and award them with some really cool prizes like the new Duro RC dirt jump fork.
To enter simply upload a video on vimeo that showcases your riding by dropping us an email to: durorookie@srsuntour-cycling.com. Visitors will then be able to vote for their favorite athletes and the winners will be decided by “likes”. Everyone who posts a comment on the videos will also be entered into prize draw to win their very own set of Duro RC suspension forks.
The contest will be held until Sunday, the 17th of June and winners will be announced Monday. 18th.
