Anything worth riding at the moment in the area? Ridge trail on Haldon is shut due to landslides and stuff (not that it’s really worth riding by itself). What’s the state of the off piste round there at the moment? Anything else about? Never ridden south of the racecourse but always looks like there should be something there.

Woodbury over Exmouth way I’ve never ridden. How does it hold up in the wet?

Woodbury tends to cope well with the wet, obviously there will be some muddy spots, but a lot of it will be very rideable…. There’s quite a lot of trails in a relatively small space so worth exploring.

Woodbury holds up very well in the wet as it’s mostly on sand and pebble beds – but is similar to Haldon in that you need to be shown the good stuff.
The bridleway that starts over near Hawkerland is a good route, and the little valley north-west of Yettington has some nice jumpy/dh-light stuff in it.

Teign valley up from Steps Bridge at Dunsford is superficially muddy but holds up pretty well – routes round Castle Drogo area are good. Will try to get out there tomorrow if it’s not actually peeing down.
