I have never heard of any issues with on one not honouring their obligations
agreed. Bought one of the SL1s as a backup light when they were on pre-order t'other year, had some problems with it - returned to On-One, replacement with me next day.
Unfortunately that was shite too, but got a rather fantastic SL2 sent to me instead. Bravo chaps.

How does this compare against the Nuke proof 900 light?

johnners:
I wonder how? Could it be related to the 6 emails in 48 hours I've had about this from the PlanetX/On-One conglomerate?
*chuckles*

eg. how are people getting on with Ay-up warranties for example now they are Aussie based only.
My mains adapter for the charger failed, I emailed them about it and they sent me a new one, so no problems here so far.

Would love one of Trout's but when I'm not sure how much night riding I'm going to do, I think it might have be the DX to begin with.
At the moment, I also spend more time on the road, so Trout's 'Close Encounters' set-up, might just be overkill.

no such thing as overkill on-road. off-road's a different story...Posted 2 years ago # -

Dunno about that, blinding car never seemed like a good idea to me. As thats a lot of metal the are in (semi) control of.

bright lighting doesn't necessarily mean blinding a car. You have to use some kind of intelligence when you fit the light to your bike/helmet.

I've found the fit inducing flash mode on my little dinnotte is a little too much for cars....much better on the middle setting. I save the pulse flashing for when I get behind drivers that have annoyed me.

I don't ride off-road at night very much in a season, so I'm still on Lumicycle Halogens. It is incredibly reassuring just to be able to buy spares from nice people at short notice.

I do ride off-road at night a lot in a season, so I have LEDs. It is incredibly reassuring not to have to to buy spares from anyone :o) [and not to have battery that weights a ton and self destructs*]
*crossed fingers on LiPo meltdown though
