anyone got a square taper bb? What axle lenght should I get for the chainline of 50mm?

It's nothing to do with the frame - the chainset will determine the length of BB required and what chainline will result from a set length of BB axle.

What he said, however I've been using a 115mm and I haven't died yet.

but a 115mm with one chainset may be fine but not with a different one.

Indeed, however I have no idea what length axle I should be using with my antique raceface cranks, I just happened across a 115mm and whacked it on.

Raceface turbines usually go best with a 110mm axle IME though on older (narrower chainstays) frames you can often use a 107.

Well mine work fine at 115mm, although I'm sure you will now cast your usual clubber juju on it and the combination will never work again.

I'm doing my special juju dance right now ๐Ÿ™‚

Of course 115 will work fine - just slightly (2.5mm) wider than necessary with associated slight shift of chainline. Nothing to make any real world difference.

Then ask Middleburn to make sure, I'd guess you'll need 113mm.

By default, the RS8 is designed to have 48mm (probably actually 47.5) chainline. I couldn't find the 'right' BB length for that but give middleburn a call/email and ask. Then you'll need a BB axle 5mm wider (2.5mm each side) than recommended to get 50mm chainline. I'm not really sure why you'd want a 50mm chainline rather than 47.5mm though.

50mm is what OnOne say the Scandal is designed for, no other reason.

That just basically means Hollowtech 2. KingT - are the chainstays as wide as inbreds? If not then a 47.5mm chainline would be fine.
