Nike shoes used to be (I believe) actually a Trek product – made using a licence from Nike. When the big poster boy for Nike Cycling (L.Armstrong) fell out of favour, the whole thing stopped.
Soon after this, Trek started producing shoes under the Bontrager brand – so I assumed these to be the natural successor to Nike cycling shoes.
If Nike are getting back in on the picture, I wonder if they’re doing it directly, or by once again licencing the brand to an existing manufacturer.
My Lance Allroad shoes were some of the best shoes I’ve ever owned.
