    Not clear on what I’m doing when removing RaceFace Dues XC (X-Type) cranks.

    Firstly I used (what I think is) a 10ml allen key to remove the lockring bolt with the Black surround. Turning it counter clockwise the whole thing came out, but I’ve since read that that thing needs to be in place in order to get the crank off.

    Help. Please!

    It’s driving me effing nuts!

    leave big bolt in as its the extractor. use an 8mm allen key and turn anti clockwise and the bolt puls the crank arm off. Undo the outer bolt later and finish off undoing the 8 mm bolt – crank arm off

    I didn’t have the 10mm bolt on mine so I had to go get an Isis crank puller.

    Guilliano, I must be in the same position as you. Only one bolt I can see. It’s completely stumped me.
