old paint job looked nice. Why didn't you get discs brazed on?

Yes dents still there, adds character.
I have seen disk conversions and IMO they are a a lot of expensive bother for little gain.

Is that still the ATAC stem? Looks different.

Same stem, frame, wheels, fork, headset, chainset,
Changed from cheap risers to a very old flat aluminium bar (spectre internally ribbed, from a 93 Jamis Diablo)

Do they make stems that long? I though the one on my Klein was long enough!

Nice

I have reciently rebuilt my 95 Steel S/works still original
immaculate paint job with its 130mm Ti stem its fuggin orrable in the steering department, but on the road those prestige tubes make it fly.

Off road no suspension and cantis Retro is a definate description "retrograde" thats why we now use disc's and suspension

How the hell did I ever race on it I do not know

But I still love it

I must do some piccies some day

How is the chain tensioned?

I was using an on-one tensioner copy from eBay but I needed to take some links out of the chain. On doing so I found that the chain was so tight when I put it on again, the tensioner was completely redundant. I might find that the chain (a cheapo £5 Miche 1/8 track jobbie) stretches, but for now it's working great. running 32:16 and it's an 18" frame.

Well this is my current and very retro ride (circa early 90's) too many bits breaking now so it's dues for a revamp into a commuter bike and the purchase of a new MTB.

Based on a 90's Kona Cindercone bits with a US Ally frame, still has the Kona Joe's Cages, bar, stem, saddle, Deore XT groupset, SUP Mavic rims, Tandem spokes (front - oh so tastefully snowflaked!), Project 2 straight forks. Goint to get the old frame repainted and see where it takes me...
