OP ignore this lot taking the piss repeating themselves. Back on topic, you’ve probably not sold it because you’re asking too much for a niche frame with no warranty.

Well if noone else is I’m in 500,000 posted if you will.

Its not brand new. Its second hand. No warranty. Pretty niche. Quite expensive to start with. I’d expect close to that off if buying actually new from a proper shop for last years model.

OP, if I understand this situation you got this as a warranty replacement, so its was free to you. So just sell it and move on.

Are you new here? I think you’ll find that the correct procedure is to repeatedly post it up, ad bloody nauseam, at exactly the same price, so that its a daily fixture on the classifieds page, with zero interest from anyone,

To be fair, this is an approach I find pretty succesful, I had my 224 frame up for sale on pinkbike for about 6 months then sold it for exactly what I wanted.

Only if the original bike was free

I’m guessing with all the helpful comments and generous advice the OP is now sacred off, he will never see my overly generous offer…

it was a replacement for a 2 year old frame. If it was for sale at 2 year old frame prices it would have gone by now. The OP’s trying to ‘make a profit’ from a warranty replacement.

You are correct Jambalya. I got it ‘free’. You can have it for free too!!!!!!!!!!!

And it’s not exactly last years model! It’s just come out and until there is a 651 deep throat model there wont be many changes

If you get the value of what you originally paid, less depreciation for however long you rode it for until it broke, then that’s fine. Asking for any more is trying to profit out of their warranty. Though I don’t hold it against you for trying, but well, good luck with that.

Chances are a warranty replacement is a repaired frame not fresh off the production line as far as the buyer is concerned, and on top they get no warranty, so it’s going to be fairly low value to them.

Oi!! I made a serious offer there. Whats your answer, cash waiting

Hi OP,just in case no one else has pointed this out,you are in a market place,so check out the “opposition”.If I wanted a Ti 29er I would buy a new Titus Fireline £700.If 650B it would be a Kingdom Bike Vendetta 2 £999.Basically you are asking too much. You will have to drop your asking price,or build it up & enjoy it.Good luck either way.

You say that like quoting is a bad thing 😳

The OP’s trying to ‘make a profit’ from a warranty replacement.

And what’s wrong with that? It’s not new new, but it’s never been ridden or built up, it’s still worth more than a properly 2nd hand frame.

(Still asking too much for it though)

it’s still worth more than a properly 2nd hand frame.

Zero warranty, 50% RRP for me.

    And what’s wrong with that?

Nothing in itself but the OP’s expectation of how much profit was in there is at odds with the people who use the STW classifieds.

If he wanted to sell he’d reduce the price further – he’s not ‘losing’ money over what he’d have got for the 2 year old frame.

If it was a steel frame I think this would a different story entirely. But titanium frames are:

    1. Much more expensive
    2. Seem to be rather prone to premature failure

I must admit to being tempted when Merlin were selling off 26″ ones for c£750 a couple of years ago 😉
