Tall watch,  yes.  Maybe I’m trying to over compensate for…. other shortcomings 🤣

I do like large watches though,  and I’ve learnt numbers and even appearances on others can be deceptive.   My planet ocean is supremely comfortable, but the numbers probably say it shouldn’t be.

    “That pink GMT is great!”

I can’t stop looking at that watch, they have some other options which look great as well – I’m spending way too much time on their website atm.

Yeah, that pink Venezianico is great! In fact i found myself looking to see if you could get a pink NATO strap to compliment it 😀

Rather have that than a plastic Swatch/Blancpain…….

Which I found out today is a non serviceable movement in a sealed case, so its disposable within its serviceability duration.   So much for “eco”.

My brother has asked me to sell his Animal watch

That’s a horrible looking watch. So why am I so tempted?

Harsh! Its damn cool imo. But I will chuck in some truly horrible unused Animal watch straps with it.

Do like that pink dive watch on the= previous page, but I’m nowhere near cool or hipster enough to wear it, this on the other hand I could really go for from the same guys https://www.venezianico.com/blogs/journal/the-northern-lights-on-your-wrist-its-possible

Idkw but that really grabs me.

That GS looks huge that neilnevill posted, still like it though, doubtful I’d ever be able to afford it.

Still got a hankering to try a CW, the models bought and shown on recent pages look very classy and tastefully understated. Really nice pieces.

    That pink GMT

    Oooft, nice!

Just as well they are in Italy and don’t have a proper ‘buy now’ and what it’ll actually cost otherwise… (one for the brexit bonus thread i reckon 🤣🤣🤣).

@walowiz I know I’m biased but can recommend a CW watch. I had my Trident C60 delivered on time with good communication etc. It’s keeping really good time (well within tolerance) and was a dream to wear for a week in the hot Italian weather on holiday.

I’m genuinely tempted, it’s got a certain something all of its own, that’s for sure. The strap playfully showing a provocative few mm of springbar is a nice touch. I’m afraid I think I’ll have to pass though.

A fair few quart wrist shots and a sode by side with the snr.

Hello chaps. Strange for this thread, I actually went mountain biking yesterday. Well, more of a potter to meet my old club, as it was the ‘forum d’association’ day in France, when each commune showcases their clubs and societies. I might rejoin as I haven’t managed well not-cycling on my own. Of course, I donned my g-shock square for the outing!

Back to the matter in hand, my Reverso. It started again…! I took it out of its box last week and it was running, very strange. It’ll still take it into the AD to see what they think, even if they’ll only recommend a full service at €450! I had this problem many years ago, that quartz watches would always stop on me, which stopped me wearing anything (on my wrist!) until I got my Tudor BB smiley in 2013. As if this hobby couldn’t be expensive enough, without quartz being potentially off the table. Anyway, I’ve been wearing the Reverso in the evening, lazing around my in stolen-from-an-onsen yukata robe jobby. Very swish, and the missus even likes it!

It’s basically a miniature 90s time capsule innit.

Put the SMP back on its bracelet today.  Christ it’s heavy.  Omega could learn a thing or two about tapering bracelets from Rolex. Think I’ll get the rubber back on it

    <span style=”font-size: 0.8rem;”>
    edit</span>

in fact it lasted 10 minutes, just can’t get on with it.  I’ll always buy a watch on a bracelet  and I usually like them, but the SMP does not have a good one.  It’s just too big and chunky for me.   My old Seamaster had a similar non tapering one but wasn’t as chunky and was fine.  They can make a comfortable bracelet as my Speedmaster has a nice one (although 2 micro adjust holes is rubbish)

@kato, I may have posted this one from the summer already.

The photos I’m looking forward to are winter ones, sat by the fire with endless cups of tea.

Lol at kato! Come and borrow my po. Get some protein powder in and build your biceps. I know what you mean but trust me, the smp is not that heavy even on the bracelet. O know what you mean and it’s weighty but. I bought mine on the bracelet, it is still fully stickered and unworn. It’s a good bracelet and the micro adjustable clasp is superb. It’s comfortable and looks good, but it doesn’t taperb which is a mistake. I keep toying with buying an uncle Seiko or forstner version of the speedy bracelet, they look superb in those.

    Well, colour me surprised!

you may remember I bought the Oris Aquis from Sellors/Jura on a crazy/suspiciously cheap 40% off and another 10% deal, but when it arrived it came without documents, box  and warranty card,  I then got all stroppy and nearly sent it back as they hadn’t mentioned missing items on the site?  Well, a package just arrived without notice, with all of the replacement items inside and 5 mins later I had an email from Oris saying my watch had now been registered for the 10 year warranty.  Result!  Well done Sellors.

I really hope it has a ceramic bezel….

As I prefer steel, and then I won’t want it!

So, what’s everybody’s thoughts on this?  It was my first ‘proper’ watch but hardly every wear it these days.  Trying to decide wether to move it on or keep it in the box just in case!

@Blazin-saddles if you do decide to sell, I could be interested.

Id keep it, with it being very reminiscent of the B&R BR03 and its distinctive shape (and the wallet friendly price point)

    @Blazin-saddles

I always quite liked them, CW had a slightly wider range of styles back in’t day.  They do seem to be improving the diversity of their options now but for the last few years have been very diver-heavy.

I actually had a knock off B&R before this, which is what prompted me to get rid of the spurious watch and get some real Swiss.  Saw it in an in-flight magazine advert and was smitten.

I’d keep it, but then I’m biased as I have the dive watch version with the internal bezel 🙂
