Lots of reports of unexplained lights in the sky in the U.S. For example, Governor Larry Hogan of Maryland posted this video of lights in the sky. Lets face it, if he doesn’t know what they are, the rest of us are ****ed.

And this. What the hell is this?

    Let alone this.

Just looks like drones. What are people suggesting? That it’s some sort of surveillance program? Aliens? Putin?

The second link is two airliners passing overhead with navigation and landing lights on

There is a map of sightings. They mostly seem to hang out over the states or the UK. Seems odd.

That’s what the government wants you to think.

Seems surprising in the US that no one has shot a couple down for further investigation.

It’s a shame it’s at nighttime, you can’t see the chemtrails

From the reports of interactions with UAPs by military pilots, whatever they are, they run rings round the worlds most advanced fighter planes and their tech. Limitless speed, manoeuvrability that appears to defy the laws of physics, no heat signatures, no visible means of propulsion etc

If an F22 can’t get a lock on them then Bubba Cheeseburger in rural Alabama isn’t likely to take one down with his AR15

There’s so much can be done with drones now that any “UFO” sightings are likely just that. Inevitably, a bit like crop circles, media coverage just leads to an avalanche of copycat activity.

So advanced and yet the have to come within range of us and are visible to the naked eye and yet no contact beyond that is seemingly attempted. What in the hell does “limitless speed” mean anyway

Things like this always seem too convenient to me. Nothing like our tech yet it happens to be some kind of flying machine with lights in the sky.

Not possible. I thought everyone knew that birds aren’t real.

What in the hell does “limitless speed” mean anyway

Going from 80,000ft to 20,000ft in a matter of seconds. Disappearing from that height back into the stratosphere in seconds

This is all documented by  the pilots and radar operators involved in the incidents and confirmed by the Pentagon

This thread is amazing, every single person who didn’t even click the link has outed themselves. The herd outrage is real.

Probably what any animal we study thinks we show up in a vehicle of some kind and just watch them, and then scarper when we’ve been spotted so we don’t disturb them too much.

Without radar, it’s impossible to confirm what they are.

True, but who in their right mind would click an X link? Don’t click if you’re boycotting CNN 😉

I clicked the first link.. I know Americans have a different number for a ‘dozen’ but that’s a bit of a stretch!

And presumably we are talking about battery powered drones rather than jet/rocket propelled…

The batteries don’t last long doing ‘stunts’ and they can’t carry any weight to speak of, such as a gun&ammo or a very small explosive… And the radio control range is very small…

If you want more than a few mins flying time before the expensive toy comes crashing down…

Edit: And I also love the community note:  “The stars at the 39 second mark are recognizably the constellation Orion.”

Edit 2: Out of sheer bloody mindedness I checked, and If I set my location to central USA, (Kansas to be specific) Orion might be visible approximatley 7pm to 6am, assuming it’s dark and atmosperic conditions allow, lol. so That comment checks out.

I’m not sure how to break this to you, but sometimes discussions on a thread deviate from the original post

It’s likely PteroDynamics XP-4 experimental drones, which have a fancy adaptive wing layout to enable VTOL and transit into level flight.

New Jersey’s mysterious UFOs may finally have an explanation

I don’t give much credence to claims of huge speeds in either horizontal or vertical flight, especially from American pilots, who did, after all, open fire on British armoured vehicles and personnel during the Gulf War, despite the vehicles having huge Union flags painted on the top. They managed to lose an entire training flight without trace once as well. See Flight 19.

I also really love the evolution of the styling of alien space craft too, back in the 60’s the ‘UFO’s’ spotted in the USA, had distinctive 60’s USA asthetics, and looked almost as if you cross-bred a ’57 Chevy with a frisbee.

These new alien ships are far more contemporary in style. They are no fasion slouches, they certainly keep up with the times, those pesky xenomorphs!!  😉

Hey, remember when we shut down an international airport for days because of drones and spend millions of quid deploying the army and arrested two people and announced their identities and then spent another million quid on an investigation and there was never any evidence of there being even a single drone involved? It’s mostly that. A bunch of the sightings with picture “evidence” have been instantly confirmed as photoshops, planes… and literally just bloody stars, Larry Hogan mentioned in the first post provided pictures and it took about 2 seconds for someone to realise he was looking at Orion

Well facebook free thinkers tell me this is part of operation blue beam. A conspiracy theory that they’re preparing us for an alien invasion.

If you want a rabbit hole to go down, there was an anonymous user on 4chan went on a bit of a riff about UAVs. Apparently they’re almost all AI controlled and are designed/built by a mothership somewhere under the Atlantic.

Yup that’s also part of the conspiracy.

    “UFO expert”

How can you have an ‘expert’ in something that doesnt exist ?

And this. What the hell is this?

If only “aeroplanes” and “Air Traffic Control” existed, we might have been able to come up with an explanation. I guess we’ll just never know.

    “UFO expert”

How can you have an ‘expert’ in something that doesnt exist ?

To be fair, they do exist. If you see an object, it’s in the sky and you don’t know what it is, then it’s ipso facto a UFO.

A UFO expert could quite plausibly go “yep, those are planes, that’s a drone, those there are fireflies, that’s Orion FFS, and those lights are reflections from searchlights from the grand opening a mall the next town over.” (I’ve seen the latter, it was a deeply weird sight.)

Not saying it’s aliens, but it’s not aliens.

There’s a UFO group in Todmorden, they used to put up notices on the board in the Co-Op in Hebden Bridge asking for folks to contact them if they had any info about some cows getting out of a field one night. As if aliens who could travel FTL to a new planet would mess about with a herd of cows…

    Cows

I’ll file this under Same Thing.

I’m confused. There seems to be some satire here but I’m not entirely sure where.

The OP posted 2 links and a photo…

Link 1: Some idiot Governor seeing some stars and thinking they’re drones, then complaining about the government not clamping down on drone owners.

Link 2: A video of some planes and an innocuous comment on crowded skies.

    Photo: Clearly a drone.

No one even mentioned UFOs except in the thread title. Have I missed something, or has everyone else?

To be fair, if you’d told me there was a UFO group in the UK and it wasn’t in Glastonbury, Tod would have been my second guess.

I was meaning in the Aliens from another world sense. And no surprise this is in the US, home to all those Alien abductees.

Of course this could just be another ploy for the American government to dilute their citizens freedoms a bit more, as Drones, can be a tool that can be used for nefarious purposes.
