As the title really – if I were to get two dealextreme bike lights (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.25149) could I run them off one battery. Pretty much like the Lumicycle setup. Would I get the same brightness but half the run time?

Well, double the 'brightness' (of one lamp) but half the the run time to be clear.

You might run into issues with draw- the wiring harness might not be too happy with the extra current, and likewise the battery pack itself might have a limit of what it can deliver. Not saying you will of course but it might be worth considering.

So how will I know? Anything I can do to check that all these things will be ok or is it just a case of trying it?
