Tornado – time for an aviation thread?

Flew over my house today (we own an ex-RAF house), unfortunately I was at work. I did get the following as a message from my partner

That aeroplane just flew over nearly pooped myself

So it was a loud one

I grew up a few miles from Cottesmore when the Tornadoes were stationed there, and remember how loud they were.

I took a late lunch today so I could watch them fly over BAE Samlesbury this afternoon. My wife and I got a final look at them before they retire. It bought back memories.seeing the trio flying past, and hearing them for a good while after.

3 of them flew over Warton this afternoon, end of an era 🙁

Good to see that the Blue Circle radar is mentioned in Wikipedia! Not my favourite fast jet, Hunter, Vulcan and Buccaneer look much nicer but the end of an era.
