    Anyone else doing it?

I tried my new CX out yesterday for the first time and it scared the **** out of me. Last time I rode with drop bars was 1992!

    The details…

The triumphant return of cyclocross racing to Todmorden!

    Where?
    Centre Vale Park, Todmorden
(Off the A646 Burnley Road. Parking available at the Leisure Centre, Ewood Lane, Todmorden, West Yorkshire. OL14 7DF)

    When?
    January 4th 2009
    11:30 Youth (Under 16) – £5 – 30 minute race
    12:30 Under 12s – £Free – 15 minute race
1:30 Seniors, Juniors (Under 18), Vets, Women – £10 – one hour race

    What?
An off road race using the fields and woods of Todmorden’s Centre Vale Park. All are welcome to come and race and spectate. The course will be fun and rideable by any half-keen cyclist, yet challenging enough for experienced riders. The event is being run under British Cycling regulations and with the help of Calederdale Council.

    What next?
You’ll need an off-road-worthy bike and a helmet. Parking and changing rooms/showers are courtesy of Todmorden Leisure Centre.

Signing on will be by the start of the event, near the skate park at the far end of the park from the Leisure Centre. The course and car parks will be signposted and well marked.
