I’ve one of these roof racks and it works lovely with my current Orbea and Ragley hardtail. I’m picking up a new Santa Cruz Bronson over the Christmas break and it has just occurred to me that the low style VPP might not play nice with the grab-arm roof rack.

    anyone got any experiences??

Had my megatower (large/Coil) on a 598 proride a few times.

Does work but it’s suboptimal, didn’t clamp the frame evenly.

    Upride works much better

Bugger – hadn’t considered this.  Just got a Hightower 3 and the downtube is massive and quite square.  Assume the same issues with a Thule towbar rack as they have the grab fix as well?

Haha. Not just me then! Migthat have to find a roof rack that rake the front wheel captive and then “everyone else” can use the 598
