When riding in -6 conditions. Three pairs of gloves, three pairs of socks, 3 base layers.

It’s the only thing that kept me warm!

Really? I think a decent jacket, minimal layering, windproof gloves with merino glove liners and a hat/skull cap work better than the bulk option.

And merino socks, winter boots, overshoes work well feet wise. 3 pairs of socks – how did you get your shoes on?

    Before 8!

I shall be walking into town too in a bit as the trams are playing silly beggars.

I’m still in a base layer and winter jacket. Any more and I’d boil..!

It’s just my hands and feet that freeze mainly. I figured keeping the core warm, the rest would follow. And it worked!
