Scotland should be much further in front than three points.

Wow. Scotland must of had double helpings of porridge this morning. Nice to see a bit of running rugby.

Has anyone mentioned the butchered chances yet 😆

Has nowell received a pass he hasn’t dropped yet? 😯

I guess at least he is running forwards. Ford AND May both running sideways may be too much too handle!

well I think england will still win, Scotland playing much better than I thought they would

England look equally likely to either lose or win by a cricket score

Goodness, England made a meal of that.

Edit: on current form, the World Cup is potentially going to be very ugly for Northern Hemisphere teams.

I can’t decide. The opportunities created shows good talent, and the bad finishing a lack of confidence.

Still, a win, and top of the table. Let’s not moan too much.

If we lose by point difference next week they might regret not taking those early chances..

So, all of a sudden next week looks interesting!

    Saturday 21st March 2015
    RBS SIX NATIONS
    Italy v Wales 12:30
    Scotland v Ireland 14:30
    England v France 17:00

Wales get out of the traps early, and should be able to beat Italy well. But, they can’t just chase the points! Even so, on the current points difference, a hatful is needed.

Scotland could hold it together and stifle Ireland. No, seriously, I’m not channeling TJ here! I think Scotland aren’t that bad a side, and they’re due a good game.

England v France? Well, as per, it depends which France turns out!

So, Wales have the easiest game of the weekend (Sorry, Italy!) but probably have the most to do in that game.

    Nervous already!

That’s the most exhausted I’ve ever been during a rugby match, and I wasn’t playing.

Barnes was tough at the breakdown for both sides. But I think Hovis’s yellow was just slightly premature. He did warn him, but before the warnings it was 3-2 to Ireland for the same offence. The maul was collapsed on the line, but if a card was coming he’d have needed to put at least 4 Welsh players in the bin. The scrum penalty was for the Irish tight head stepping left and boring in. The same thing both of the Irish tight heads had done all game.

Sexton didn’t look comfy all game. Some very simple things he got wrong that he normally gets so right.

I thought the Eng v Scot game was going to be all one way traffic after the first try. It then went Trundle-Orc, then so scrappy it was like watching school boys. Nearly every pass from the England 9 to first receiver was either slightly behind, thus forcing the runner to check his run and restart from static, or over their heads or off their boots. The commentators go “oh, well taken” or “good catch”. I should be basic simple skills to put the ball in the breadbasket. These are supposed to be professionals at the top of their game. FFS.

The English butchered so many chances. I thought Brown looked very sluggish too.

I have to say, the last scrum was surely an Irish pen?

Ireland deliberately wheeled the scrum. It was pretty obvious when I rewound it.

Barnes irritated me by stopping the clock for everything in the last 2 minutes, even allowing the Irish to have a little discussion and set up their lineout nicely before the time started again.

CFH I agree about Ollie Griffiths – if he carries on playing like that he’ll be world class. Or retired by 20!

    Well played Wales today.
Showed they’re still a top side when it comes to the rugby. Did what they needed to do when pressure was on.

Ireland played well at times too, but just not quite enough when it really mattered.

There’s room for improvement, but also potential for it to happen too. A few first teamer’s could do more with better match fitness, and the bench players made a case for the squad strength today. Like Madigan as a game chaser – and a few others could well have earned some changes for the next match .
would love to see Henderson and Cronin get the start and have a good pre-WC chance to show their qualities – as we all know what the alternatives already have to offer.

Scotland England was a better game than expected. Well worth watching, but also showed nothing new to worry about come September, if i’m honest. Vunipola’s looking more and more like a top 8; and England could well turn out to be a different proposition altogether with Manu at 13 and a 12 selected to release him, but as it is, I still though Hogg was the most dangerous in that game – and WayneBarnes the most influential english involved this weekend. 😉

Still, England have put themselves top and in position as 6N favourites going into the last game – so fair play to them for that.
But going on the rugby I’ve seen today, I’d be a lot happpier with any money I’d laid on Wales, and Ireland, when it comes to the big one in September.

Loum, the big difference is the WC is in ENGLAND. England are favourites against Wales at Twickers.

I thought that was down to the pony tailed one getting a knock on the bonce?

I hate to admit it but I think it will come down to points difference as to who gets out of the “Pool of Death” in the WC. England should win at Twickers, they have 3 games at “home”, 1 at Manchester. Wales play England and Australia at Twickers.

All three could lose to each other on their worst / best day. Just put Fiji and Uruguay to the sword and let the bloke with a calculator sort it out. 😕

Wales started the second half with Rob Evans, Baldwin, Jarvis and won… bloody hell!!

I think the pressure on england to win the WC in england will be too much. There isn’t a Johnson in the side to calm everyone down, Farrell and Youngs will fall apart. Hartley will start thumping people 😆 Just cant see it.

We could lose to Fiji 😆

Well done Wales and England – great to see a close championship even if rugby has disappointed at times.

Watched on replay and in just starting Wales match now. But great to see the back running from deep and what a JD handoff in the first 5 mins.

Love the commentators/pundits going on about their 15 being great defence, when they miss basic and crucial tackles. Well done Andy and co!!

It was truly a brilliant performance. I really hope that he can continue being that excellent!

    Well done to Wales.

Ireland showed that if your gameplan consists entirely of kicking the ball in the air and running after it and dominating the breakdown and then you fall 12 points behind against a side who catch well, compete at the breakdown and kick well back to you – you’re gonna be in trouble.

Ireland’s attempts to throw the ball wide looked like a bunch of toddlers on their first day at mini rugby.

Sexton had a nightmare. His worst crime was getting in the way of a pass when he had no idea where the ball was. You can forgive a semi-concussed forward who blunders into the backline and gets in the way but a fly half? He should know what’s going on.

Mike Brown – what was all that mouthing off to the touch judge after Nowell had knocked on? Why wasn’t he yellow carded for that?

    Kryton57

He was complaining that the Scottish player ripped the ball out accidentally I think, which was confirmed on the replay hence it wasn’t an England knock on. To be fair in real time you couldn’t tell.

He shouldn’t complain he should keep his mouth shut, it isn’t soccer.

Samson Lee has apparently done his achillies and could miss the worldcup 🙁

Gethin apparently did his calf in the warm up and they knew he wouldnt last 80 and then his hamstring went after 10 mins.

I wish referees would curtail Robshaws and Browns whinging and tell Haskell to stop giving a running commentary to the referee. It would do my nut in! They aren’t 9’s! 🙂 Actually, Hogg has gotten quite bad for his constant complaining too…

Erm, you missed out warburton there. He makes CR look like a mute! POC does too! They all do it.

POC has to do the most talking of all! How he fits any actually rugby into his 80 minutes monologues is quite astounding 🙂

The difference between them is the whingeyness. SOB was extremely vocal at the breakdown yesterday but didn’t start every sentence with “ref, ref” followed by a long pout at the referee. Brown and Hogg actually go nuts at the referees at times too yet you don’t see the penalty moved often Nowadays

I’m always imoressed when he manages to get through a game without a red card these days. 😆

And, for rugby bingo, there should also be points for Hogg pointing at the touch line looking amazed that the TJ hasn’t given him an extra 20m.

Warburton is widely criticised as being too quiet, he was for the Lions too. He seeks clarification but I have never seen him do a POC style rant at the ref. Never seen Robshaw either for that matter. Brown is a chippy git.

They should all be told to STFU as Poite did yesterday. A few quiet words from th captain ok but otherwise shut it and play the game.
