Just seen a picture of the first finished build on the Stooge owners Facebook page. That is a sweet looking bike.

Yeah these look great. If I didn’t already have a n+ problem I’d be having one. Cheap too IMHO

Yeah, they look great. I've got a MK3 (previously had a MK2) and am seriously tempted!

Think Andy's pricing is spot on. Great bikes and the pricing makes them accessible. If the prices were any higher, I'd probably start considering other bikes.

Of course it's better, 4 is 3 better than 1

Gonna have to go against the grain and say I don't like the look of that. Forks and bars ruin it for me. And I really like the early ones...

And the Speedball someone had on here

@cokie yes, but I didn't order until the end of the low price option period. So expect I'm down the list. It's all good, Andy's doing a great job and I expect him to have a few orders to get through.

I dropped Andy an email this morning, I'd been missed off the pre-order list so he's sorting mine today and due for delivery on Wednesday (so pretty much the same date as others on here). It might be worth sending him a quick email.

Red btw!

Was all ready to get excited but the fork, just no. I don't care how "functional" it is, it looks like you gave a fat lad a croggie back from the pub.

The rest of the bike looks so nice and the crown detail is beautiful. The fork is just visually jarring. 🙁

Rideable, but not finished.
Waititng for my Junker bars before cutting down the steerer.
I've also ordered a dropper post.

It's an absolute riot! Carries speed easily and you can throw it into stuff without worrying.
Can't wait to finish it and get some more milage in.

No tracking number but you can go on parcel force website and click on the tab receiving a package. From there you can select the date you received your card and your address then choose re-delivery options. They weren't interested in delivering to neibours as they'd rather charge £12 to have it delivered to the local post office on a saturday or £5.50 for a different address.

First ride on mine yesterday. Everything that cokie says!

It's like a 29+ bmx.

It made me Grin and giggle, and that's what it's all about. Very happy.

Looks like it, though I don't suppose it matters as I doubt another ~450mm long 80mm offset fork option exists

The junker bars definitely suit the fork. Great looking bikes imo. Not a Mk4, but I will shortly be scratching my Stooge itch in the shape of a Speedball courtesy of Clink of this parish. Not been this excited in ages

Did everyone get cable clips with their frames?

I've also made a boo boo, my existing rear hub is a Hope XC that can't be converted to a t/a so I could do with a new 29" 142 X 12 6 bolt shimano freehub rear wheel if anyone see's any deals?

No cable clips here. I used cable ties. I prefer them anyway as cable clips always seem to fall off.

Anyone else a bit gutted that the Mk4 is only available in one size? I know that they can be tweaked with seatpost layback (unless you’re planning on running a dropper, like me) and a longer stem, but however it’s dressed that feels like a bodge to me.
Real shame as I love the new design, especially the fork. None of the new colours do anything for me either unfortunately - looks like I’d be ideal for a 20” Mk3 instead - but gutted to miss out on the updates.

I’m with you on the colours to be fair. Plum crazy or moby grape are where it’s at. Purple is the king of bike colours. Get a Speedball with the biplane fork. I’m loving mine and still can’t figure out how it’s so quick. It really shouldn’t be.

@slimjim78 How tall are you? The MK4 is basically the same size as a 20" MK3 (minus 5mm on the ETT) but with an 18" seat tube. A 20" seat tube generally wouldn't allow you to use a 170 dropper, the 18 does. You're more than welcome to come and try a bike for size if you ever find yourself over in Shropshire. I only produce 100 frames at a time on very limited funds, hence the lack of sizes.

Hmm, well after saying in the beginning of the thread I didn't like it, I went and bought one.

Awesome bike. I just wish the rain would bugger off.

Hopefully finishing the build tonight, using a contravertial b+ f/r with the 57mm offset fork instead of the 80.

Anyone have any advice for a front mudguard on the Mk4?

I'm looking for something close to full length, or a RRP max coverage thing, but the massive rake is puzzling me.
