A few weird bits of commentary but great visuals.

So do you think we’ll just be able to buy a holiday that follows the route? The one they run will certainly be when I’m teaching

Reading the blurb, isn’t that entirely the point?

I don’t have the time or inclination to organise a Touring Club-based adventure. Do you run any all-inclusive tours on the Stone King itinerary?
YES! The annual Stone King Club Week. Sign up to our mailing list and be the first to hear about the dates and details.

Yes, although it sold out v quicky last year i think. i took from the video that they were encouraging other operators to offer the route too

It was other operators I was wondering about.

I had a quick look last night after watching the video and thought you could just use Coolbus for the transfers. Prices from £400.

Question is, how fit do (I) you need to be…

kazimer off of that PB did the event last year and described it as very demanding/not a holiday. he sometimes does two rides a day. sounded full on to me. but also fricking awesome.

    Quite…
It’s 1500-2000m climbing per day, double that descending. Expect some serious hikeabike too. Last year there were a couple of days where a lot of the riders were out for a solid 12 hours.

Almost more than that, it’s about a strong head. Every year there’s 1 or 2 riders who pull out after the first day, just shellshocked. Equally there’s others who are struggling physically far more but who have the grit to keep buggering on no matter what – and it’s them who have the biggest smiles when they finally make it to the beach.

It’s an amazing experience though, and something I’m very proud to be part of (I’ve worked on every Transprovence and then SKR since 2014]

I hadn’t seen the cool bus link, thanks

    To do list

    Find 7 friends

    Get fit

Get better at riding a bike

Actually they do make it clear you can cut bits out and increase the length of transfers to made it easier then the full event

Thanks for the feedback and fair enough. I was genuinely just trying to explain where the whole thing came from.

Our 2023 package tours are sold out, but if you’re up for organising a DIY thing, all the information that you need can be found here: https://stonekingrally.org/touringclub/

Moderately so. Be ready for pretty long days on the bike, but the tour version doesn’t have to be extremely arduous. Our Wormholes system means it can be made a fair bit easier than the race (whilst still hitting almost all of the good stuff!).

Feel free to reach out to me directly if you need any further advice or support on the details of this.
