Went for a ride from Deeping towards Stamford couple of hours ago along the Barnack road…..the clouds are getting that ‘thickening’ look to them, so I think it’s only a matter of time this way!!

Tempted to set the alarm early tomorrow and get out for some sunrise pics (if it’s clear, that is!)…..

OH just ventured down the road in the car to Gym, got 1/2 mile before deciding the big hill to the valley wasn’t a good idea as it was sheet ice even though it looked clear of snow

The Ilkeston Alps have a thin covering, quite fine powdery snow still coming down quite steadily.

Have optimistically taken the ice tyres out their boxes, but suspect that the kids will want me to go out and play with them in the morning before I get a chance to use them in anger 😕

Edit: we kind of look like the Kettlewell photo – and I forgot to say, I spent 20 years of my life in Deeping, used to ride out along the Barnack road…. 🙂
