After splashing out hard earned Wonga on a set of the above wheels for my Bronson a few words on the wheels.

Firstly popping the tyres on was a wee bit tight the first time but I’ve since changed the rear tyre & it came of much easier, the plastic plugs seal the spoke holes no messing so no with rim strips & lighter.
Inflating was very easy, straight up with a track pump.
Fist ride, well the bike was transformed, it came with WTB aysmetric rims on DT hubs as standard & the bike had no zip to it felt a bit flat to be honest compared to my last Bronson, now…. blown away with it, it rolls so fast & you can carry much more corner speed, I’m now having to brake to stop from running into mates.

The stiffness is amazing the bike tracks incredibly well, I’ve had to play with tyre pressures to get the feel right and adjust fork & shock pressures slightly to give it back some suppleness.

With the rims being 30mm wide the tyre profile spreads nicely giving a better profile & a real improvement in grip.

I can only sing there praises as the set up is letting me ride the bike how I want to & after a bit of strava malarkey a few times have improved too for a old geezer.
I know theyre not Enves but I’m more than happy & the warranty is pretty decent too.

    Cheers

    Hi Mark thanks for posting,

I’ve been thinking of upgrading the wheels on my bike too for a while ( tracer275c ) from the stans flow ex that it came kitted with, I just wasn’t too sure which ones to go with , may I ask where you got them from ?

    ram13man,

I bought the wheels from Bike Scene at Guisborough, very professional shop, great service, a mate also bought a set from them & has bought his last 3 bikes from them.
That’s said a Specialized dealer will sell them as Specialized own Roval.
And to confirm the comment before yours, correct I’ll never go back to Alloy rims.

    Cheers
