    my rohloff is working fine, before i begin!!

    what are rohloff like with regards to fixing 2nd hand rohloffs, without a warranty?

    i too wondered this as i fancy one but would need to buy used and only one thats come up recently seemede to have a shifting issue in certain gears. No help to you of course 🙂

    if it helps, most have a shifting issue from 7th to 8th – its commonplace, and to do with the overdrive gear iirc.

    if it was mine you saw, then afaik everything is all good in the gear changing dept, needs new cables though.

    reason i ask is cos i'm selling, additionally warranty card seems to have gone walk about since i started uni, so i'd be interested anyway if i end up not selling 🙁

    oh, and the shifting issue is very rare – just jumps up too many gears sometimes, happens once every few rides.

    Why not send it back to Rohloff for a service before you sell it?

    They didn't ask me for any paperwork when they did mine.

    Not heard of Rohloff charging for much in the way of repairs.

    thanks. realised that the hub is outside the 2 year warranty as it is.

    Makes no difference if you're the original owner. They'll still repair it for free.
