  • Ring Doorbell issues – new phone
  • Had the Ring app on my previous phone and doorbell registered as a device

    Now got a new phone, logged into the app. Shows my registered location, but no devices

    Scan the QR code to add a device and it says already registered to different person – log in and allow sharing.

    I can’t share it as it’s not showing. I only have one log in

    Any ideas?

    You’ve used two different email addresses?

    ^ that’s all I can think. In the last year I’ve moved from s23 > Pixel > S24 with no issues.

    Yep, can log in on various devices, but no doorbell showing.

    Only set the account up before we went on holiday a couple of weeks ago

    Could it be something to do with it being linked to Alexa?

    It’s linked to the Echo show but when I go on my account it doesn’t show that Amazon is linked

    Could your doorbell be linked to your Amazon account, which is not the same as your Ring account (despite presumably using the same email address)?

    No, I can’t see it anywhere

    The echo show is still getting notifications though

    This might be the problem actually

    The Ring account was set up first – and could see it on the original phone. It was then linked to Amazon (I have two different Amazon log ins (one business)).

    I could still see it on the original phone once linked to Amazon.

    New phone – definitely the same Ring log in. But maybe it’s the Amazon connection that’s buggering things up if it’s on my business account which is a different email to the Ring. One to check tomorrow

    Phone call to support then I reckon. They may have to remove it from the back end…
