I’m after a decent set, I currently have about 1.5 sets of really cheap ones in various states of wrecked/usability and it’s annoying!

I know Wera have a good rep so maybe something from that range? Ideally I’d want a few weird ones in the kit, along side the regular phillips, posidrive and flat head, such as the star shaped ones etc?

This looks ok, but not many drivers for the price?

What’s it for? Might want JIS bits on your list too if dealing with any Japanese electronics etc.

Thanks both, mostly electronics, mainly laptops and that sort of thing, so a basic (but good quality)  kit will do me, but if it has a few exotic drivers thrown in for not much more money then that’s fine too.

I’m not actually familiar with ‘JIS’ but it sounds like it might be nice to have if im spending £40-50? preferably more like £30… but i don’t realy have a set budget.

If not heard of JIS either but it explains a lot now I have!

I’ll be adding some if those.

As a computer type person, I’ve got a few of the small Wera drivers for taking laptops / my watch etc. apart.

I’ve heard good things about the iFixit tools, though. How about this set? Looks to contain everything I’d expect to use and more.

ETA: Just realise that seems to be a cheap set with damaged packaging or returned, hence the good value, but others may be put off by returns.

    I got a Kamasa set #56049.

It was only about £12 and I’m quite happy with it.

I have a tool roll of Wera Kraftform precision screwdrivers, they are currently fixing my parents Humax Freesat box so my dad can thoroughly recommend!

I have a set of Wera Kraftform in a nice pouch. They’ve done the job for years when taking apart and putting back together laptops and other intricate electronics with tiny Philips, Torx, Hex, and slot head screws. It’s a small pleasure to use them whenever the opportunity arises. It’s probably this set (and I only realised now that the size 0 is JCiS): https://products.wera.de/en/screwdrivers_series_kraftform_micro_kraftform_micro_12_universal_1.html

It looks like they have the same set new for an extra £5.

Never wondered why adjustment screws on shimano derailleurs seemed really rubbish?

I was thinking something like this

But I’m not sure it’s comprehensive enough.. So maybe something like this? But it’s a bit spendy..

I’m not going to be refurbishing any Rolex watches any time soon but a kit with some of the more strange drivers would come in handy!

A JIS screwdriver of the correct size will sit beautifully, unsupported, in the limit screw of a Shimano rear mech.

The wera kit doesn’t seem to include ‘JIS’ drivers though… Should I even care?

Vessel, Wera, PB Swiss depending on your budget. Worth checking what Wiha offer as well.
