    ‘pal’ thinks it’s fine. I don’t.

Context, sausage and egg sandwich. I’d go one or the other, he does both.

Brown is the only answer in this scenario. Anyone combining sauces needs dragged into the street.

Ketchup, mustard and mayo is where it’s at.

I say live and let live

Just bacon and it’s fine by me – I often do it

Add anything else – cheese, egg, mushrooms and it’s brown only

Both are wrong in their own right.  Both together is double wrong

    Add Mayo.

    And Surachi sauce.

    And Cheese.

But then again I’ve been likened to a dog and will eat anything.

    Part Collie.

    ….except Cucumber ?

Hey, were all on this little old earth together and we’ve all got to learn to live with understanding and kindness, no matter how much of a disgusting pervert your mate is.

If you want to make your sandwich taste of sugar and/or vinegar why bother with the sausage and egg at all?

I try to be a tolerant person and typically, eat why you like. However, your “pal” is messing with a sausage banjo. I assume pal is in inverted commas as he’s now been excommunicated.

Mustard, tomato sauce and brown sauce all together. Unbranded versions of the above as well.

Brown on sausage, red on bacon

Anything else is plain wrong* and both together is frankly perverted

    * and I speak as someone who’s wife has mayonnaise on both, which is potentially grounds for divorce

And parading to be the target of chants of “Shame!” and thrown manure.

Not wrong, just different. Like how apple pie and custard is incredible, but so is apple pie and ice cream. Together, sure.

I’ve recently rediscovered brown sauce, honestly forgot how delicious it is – cheese on toast, scotch eggs, saus rolls, etc…

The Heinz tomato & pickle is also worth a look.

Mate of mine reckons mayo & brown is a decent combo, I’m not convinced.

Ketchup and (American) mustard is the preserve of hot dogs surely?

Oh and by the way, if anyone comes at me with the poor excuse for brown sauce that is Daddy’s, they can join the ones getting dragged into the street. HP only thanks

    It’s me! I’m the “pal”.

I’ve had both sauces on a Sosij and egg banjo for about 40 years, and I’m happy with my choices.

To provide additional detail for those that might be interested, I have Heinz Tommy K on the Sosij side and HP sauce on the egg side. It’s delicious, maybe some “friends” should try it, they might like it.

P.s. putting HP sauce on a roast chicken dinner is the work of the devil!

Brown on bacon, red on sausage and egg. Anything else marks you out as a wrong ‘un.

Haggis super with salt and sauce (obviously brown as chippy sauce is brown) add tomato ketchup at home.

HP on chicken dinner is the food of the gods and funnily enough is tonight’s tea.

Cauliflower cheese will also be present.

Red on bacon, brown on sausage. If it’s a bacon and sausage sandwich, red wins  If its a fry up, brown wins.

Interesting thought going ‘tropical’ ie a mixture of the two   .

To answer such a question one must seek the sauce of all knowledge.

Brown on breakfast sarnies and fry ups,red on fish and chips.

Also anyone who puts butter on a hot sarnie can get in the sea.(Unless it’s a chip buttie)

Did you know that Lea & Perrins used to make a Tomato and Worcester Sauce, it was great, but can’t find it now!

Perfectly fine in a big butty, especially sausage, bacon and egg.

HP sauce. HP Fruity at a push.

Anyone who describes tomato ketchup as “red sauce”? Hanging is too good for them.

FTW, as a side note, HP and Daddies are made by the same company.

Egg and/ or Bacon – tomato ketchup (stokes or tiptree)

    Sausage – brown (HP)

Bacon and sausage, or ideally bacon, sausage and hash brown – then it’s a squiggle in one corner to corner direction with ketchup and a squiggle in the opposite corner to corner direction with brown sauce, so you have the perfect complimentary sauce lattice

Red sauce? Brown sauce? Are you 5 years old?

    It’s ketchup or HP.

I will defend your right to put filthy HP on your sandwich, but both together shows a colossal degree of indecision. Be brave. Pick a side.
