Digital shot using Nikon D700 and a lens that someone from flickr has leant me, the unusual prime 105mm F2 DC (defocus control).

It has two aperture rings, one works as expected and the other can be set to change the nature of the bokeh either in front of or behind the subject.

A very sharp lens even when shot wide open at f2. The above picture hasn’t been sharpened at all.

Considering the conditions and having to use my S95 instead of the new DSLR I’d bought for the occasion, was please with this one of my son between games at last week’s tournament. Shame about the water blur above his head, could crop it but it was all about the rain that day!

All taken on a Nikon D300 with 35mm f1.8G lens, which is rapidly becoming my most used lens ever. Hasn’t been off the camera in months.

    It is a nice lens.
You have got to love digital when you can, at the press of a button, shoot at ISO 6400 and get half decent results.

I’ll resist the temptation to post all my HTN4 images 🙂

This one, while not pin sharp, makes me smile.

Tom was chuffed with that, he’s going to get Richpips to print it and frame it to hang in his bedroom. It’ll look grand at 6″*4″ 😉

Woo, my pics of MiniPips got explored on Flickr! I don’t think that’s ever happened before, but since I only found out because someone else mentioned it I don’t know if any others have ever been explored

I should do a book from the 365 group.
That was an excellent project John, thanks to you and Simon.
I think i heard about it on here.
It was pretty busy in the year i did it, your second?

It’s a great way to improve your photography and helped me a lot. So cheers.
